VZ GLOBAL and US IT company Fiscal Systems have officially signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on August 19, 2025, to integrate their digital asset Point of Sale (POS) hardware and software platforms.

The agreement was signed by Han, CEO of VZ GLOBAL, James Sphann, Vice President of Fiscal Systems. Other key participants at the meeting include Lee Anne Hanson, Tony Burke of Fiscal Systems, and Jeremy Sanchez of Marathon Petroleum.

Fiscal Systems is a mid-sized IT company based in Huntsville, Alabama, with a workforce of around 51 to 200 employees. The company specializes in developing tailored software solutions linked to POS systems commonly used in retail, fuel, gas stations, and truck stops. Its flagship products include PetroVerse 365, a comprehensive retail software suite built on Microsoft Dynamics 365; PetroVerse AIR, a cloud-based Android POS system; TravStar 2.0, a solution designed to boost business productivity; and TravStar 1 Fleetlock, a 24/7 unmanned fueling solution.

Fiscal Systems offers its own solutions to large chains in the fuel and retail sectors, enabling convenient and fast transactions across various environments.

Meanwhile, Fiscal Systems, a subsidiary of Capstone Logistics, leverages the company’s expertise in third-party logistics, supply chain solutions, warehouse management, final delivery, and freight services to drive the development of point-of-sale and payment automation technologies. James Span, Executive Vice President of Fiscal Systems, leverages his extensive experience in logistics and operations to drive the development of automated payment solutions, and the two companies maintain a strong business partnership.

Marathon Petroleum Corporation (MPC) was founded in 1887 and is a leading integrated energy company headquartered in Findlay, Ohio, with a workforce of over 10,000 employees. MPC operates the largest refining system in the United States, with its business segments comprising refining and marketing, as well as midstream operations. The company refines crude oil at large refineries across the United States to produce gasoline, diesel, jet fuel, heavy fuel oil, asphalt, and a range of petrochemical products. It supplies these products to consumers and businesses through its own network of retail and wholesale stations, including Marathon and ARCO brands. In the midstream segment, the company is responsible for transporting, storing, processing, and distributing crude oil and petroleum products through its majority-owned subsidiary, MPLX LP, as well as collecting, processing, storing, and transporting natural gas and liquids. With a robust distribution network and significant refining capabilities, MPC is a key player in the North American energy market. Recently, it has been focusing on optimizing its operations and expanding its energy portfolio in a forward-thinking way, addressing challenges such as environmental regulations, the integration of renewable energy, and market volatility.

With this MOU, VZ GLOBAL and Fiscal Systems are expected to integrate their digital asset payment system into existing POS hardware and software platforms, paving the way for a revolutionary payment experience across the US retail and fuel industries.
